Learning in Public Diary #3: PROGRESS

This week’s word is definitely PROGRESS. I’m thrilled to share that one of my videos has hit over 50,000 views, and the others are performing very well too. It feels like the pieces are finally falling into place, and the knowledge I’ve accumulated is making things significantly easier.

Everything is falling into place and I love it.

After realizing how effective ManyChat is, I dove deeper into training in that area. I’ve been linking to my past newsletters in my posts, and I’m so grateful to my past self for committing to the terrifying yet fulfilling task of writing one original, long-form piece of content each week tied to cybersecurity x societal issues and personal fulfillment. Now, I have a vast backlog of content to direct people to if they want to learn more. This approach of starting with problem-solving long-form content and using it as a freebie to solve those problems is something I’ll definitely recommend to anyone starting their personal brand.

Seriously, using ManyChat has been a game-changer. My reach is growing exponentially, and I’m excited to see how everything unfolds. I’ve also set up my webpage to collect emails for my cybersecurity wiki using a ‘pay what you want’ approach. Though I purchased one course that turned out to be a disappointment, another course proved to be the best investment I’ve made, significantly boosting my social media reach.

Moreover, it’s become clear that people are really interested in the cybersecurity wiki. They love the freebies and tutorials, and they’re eager to learn more about the topics. This makes the journey really enjoyable.

On the mindset front, today I committed to posting one reel/IG post every day for the next 30 days! We’ll see where this progress takes us. As of now, here’s a quick snapshot of my social media growth:

  • Small Instagram: Jumped from 320 to 2,301 followers, a remarkable increase of about 619% in 9 days.
  • Big Instagram: Holding steady at 61.6K.
  • LinkedIn: From 744 to 788 connections, showing a growth of about 6%.
  • TikTok: A slight decrease from 350 to 349, essentially stable.

This upcoming week, I’ll be focusing on my content schedule and streamlining the content creation process. I’m also planning to start working on some digital products, so stay tuned for more updates next week!

Seeing these numbers climb, especially the explosive growth on my smaller Instagram account, is incredibly motivating. It’s a tangible sign that my efforts are paying off, and I’m eager to keep this momentum going. Thanks for being part of this journey with me. Let’s see what the next week brings!
